Summer on the River

I thought I would be remiss if I didn't comment on just how very fine the summer is turning here on Middle River.  We spent much of yesterday out on the water with friends.

Exploring the Bay with friends.
No destination in mind, mind you, just out exploring, wandering into secluded inlets, looking at the other vessels.  Almost all of the stationary channel markers in this season have been transformed into Osprey nests, full of young ones.  Goslings and ducklings patrol the shorelines with their moms. . . .
Yeah, they're cute.  Get too close and you'll find out just how disamused a goose can get.
. . . .and then, of course there's the water, and scads of crab trap floats, boats new and old, and just enjoying being there.

The lighthouse off Pleasure Island.

And then back to the marina for a libation and a fine dinner and chatting and dreaming up new projects.

Guys, it's just fine.
